The Eastman House

The Eastman House is a historic home in Bristol, Virginia, owned by creative director and artful host Nancy Hopkins. Known throughout the food and lifestyle industries for her impeccable taste and thoughtful visual storytelling Nancy envisioned The Eastman House as a destination for chefs, makers, and creatives to host intimate dinners, retreats, and unforgettable experiences.

As the concept took shape, Nancy needed a brand that felt inseparable from the experience she creates. The Eastman House wasn't simply a venue. It was an extension of her approach to hospitality: layered, intentional, artful, and deeply personal. The identity needed to honor the history of the home while capturing the warmth, creativity, and sense of occasion that define every gathering she hosts.

I created a custom identity system inspired by the home's historic details, including its millwork, architectural elements, and original door knockers. A collection of bespoke monograms and patterns provided Nancy with a flexible visual language she could carry across guest gifts, printed materials, products, and future experiences. The result is a brand that feels timeless and distinctive, positioning The Eastman House as both a destination in its own right and a natural extension of Nancy's singular way of welcoming people into her world.
